This month our theme will be "Women's Right to Vote," to celebrate over 100 years of voting rights. We would love for you celebrate with us by wearing red, white or blue to the meeting.
MEETING PROGRAM:
Guest Speaker - Christy Ferioli
Christy Ferioli is the Senior Staff Attorney in the Civil Law Services program at the San Luis Obispo Legal Assistance Foundation (SLOLAF). Christy graduated from Stanford Law School in 2012. She has spent most of her career as a legal aid attorney, providing pro bono legal representation to those in need, in Los Angeles, Tampa, and now SLO County. Since joining SLOLAF in 2021, she has assisted hundreds of clients with housing issues, public benefits appeals, and other civil legal matters.
San Luis Obispo Legal Assistance Foundation (SLOLAF) is a non-profit legal aid organization that provides free legal assistance for civil and family law matters to low-income San Luis Obispo County residents.
Since 1992, SLOLAF has served thousands of community members in the greatest need, including seniors, veterans, low-income individuals and families, and other vulnerable populations. Staff and volunteer attorneys provide direct representation, assistance with self-representation, legal advice, community education and outreach, and referrals to other community resources.
LUMINA ALLIANCE
As is our tradition, we will be "Passing the Basket" to collect donations for Lumina Alliance at this meeting. Please bring $25 gift cards to Target, Walmart, Chevron, or Arco. We will also accept checks made out DIRECTLY to Lumina Alliance, if you prefer.
LUNCHEON MENU:
Lunch will be provided by Healing Harvest Catering, and includes both regular and vegetarian options, beverages and dessert.
Menu:
Salad: frisee & arugula salad with chioga, golden & red beets, dijon vinaigrette
Side: quinoa pilaf with roasted butternut squash & red onions, hazelnuts, herbs, olive oil
Vegetarian: Stuffed eggplant with herbed lentil, walnut & mushrooms
or
Regular: Roasted salmon with leek confit, mom’s garden preserved lemon
Dessert: double chocolate cake with fall spiced buttercream
Please select regular or vegetarian option when you register.
We also hope you'll sign up to help us dry dishes after the meeting.
