    MEETING PROGRAM:  Cycling Without Age

    Rose Levinson-Woertz has lived in San Luis Obispo since 2013 and has a background in geriatric social work. Ian Woertz (son of Monday Club member, Pamela Croft) has lived in SLO since 2001 and has a background in environmental engineering. They began working with Bike SLO County in 2023 to bring Cycling Without Age to SLO County. Rose is the Cycling Without Age Program Coordinator, and Ian is program support - both are volunteer pilots for the program as well.

    LUNCHEON MENU:

    Lunch will be catered by Healing Harvest & served buffet style.

    Main Course: thai green curry with house curry paste, coconut milk, eggplant, carrot, green bell pepper, onion, thai basil

    • Regular Option: chicken & shrimp
    • Vegetarian Option: tofu

    Sides: jasmine rice and fried vegetable spring rolls (gf) with sweet chili dipping sauce

    Salad: shaved cabbage & herb salad with chopped romaine, cucumber, shallots, peanuts, tamarind lime vinaigrette

    Dessert: thai tea pudding(gf) with ginger snickerdoodle crumble

    Please select regular or vegetarian option when you register.

    MEETING PROGRAM: End Kids Cancer Foundation

    Our guest speaker will be Frank Kalman, Executive Director of End Kids Cancer Foundation. Frank will share his personal experience with pediatric cancer, and the goals of his organization. The mission of the End Kids Cancer Foundation, is to provide financial support for clinical research and clinical trials that will cure neuroblastoma (NB), with an emphasis on non-toxic treatments.

    As a secondary mission, End Kids Cancer works to disseminate the vital information through Steps to Hope, a free booklet that shows parents and caregivers how to navigate the pediatric cancer research landscape and secure the cutting-edge treatments that could save their children’s lives.

    Vegetarian Option: farro & roasted acorn squash with cashew green goddess dressing

    Side: warm potato salad with red potatoes, shallot, radish, parsley, white balsamic, olive oil

    Salad: Zeste Farms baby kale mix with pecorino, pine nuts, lemon vinaigrette

    Dessert:  orange cranberry curd tartlets with cinnamon oat crust and fresh whipped cream
