DEDICATED TO PRESERVING A HISTORIC LANDMARK DESIGNED BY RENOWNED ARCHITECT, JULIA MORGAN

100 YEARS - 100 WOMEN

The Monday Club Conservancy is celebrating our 2024 Centennial by honoring 100 influential women with 100 Years - 100 Women.

When you think of the women who’ve made a difference in your life, who comes to mind? Your mother? Your grandmother or sister? Your fifth grade teacher? A favorite college professor? The older lady down the street who always had time to listen to your tender heart over a plate of freshly baked cookies?

Maybe you were inspired to pursue the sciences when Sally Ride rode into space – and history - or Amelia Earhart before her. Perhaps Maya Angelou led you to read or write or just probe deeper into what was in your heart. Maybe you became an artist when you fell in love with the work of Mary Cassatt. These ladies may not be in your personal circle, but rather your virtual circle, one filled with talented, gutsy women who made an impact. Who inspired us to live thoughtfully. Here’s your chance to honor them.

Whether a member of our own family and friends, or leaders on the national stage, women have been encouraging each other to live to their best potential, and to follow their heart.

The Monday Club has its own inspiring woman in the figure of Julia Morgan, who smashed the glass ceiling of a male dominated profession and made a lasting impact in architecture. As a significant role model, it is essential for TMCC to keep her legacy alive through our own Julia Morgan designed club house, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Let’s honor them, these representatives of grit and grace, talent and inspiration. Let’s memorialize them as the lights they are, and let their names and stories continue to inspire, and influence the community! 100 Years - 100 Women!

A tax deductible donation of $1000 made in the name of the woman you wish to honor will go entirely to The Monday Club Conservancy Centennial Preservation Fund to secure the future of our historic 90 year old clubhouse.

And in return…

Donors will be gifted with a personalized certificate recognizing their honoree, as well as a beautiful coffee table book, “100 Years - 100 Women,” profiling each of the special women which will be published by early 2025. A digital gallery and stories of the honored women on The Monday Club Conservancy website.

WAYS TO FUNDRAISE

If a thousand dollars is a bit steep for your finances, we might suggest you band with family or friends, choose someone to honor, and contribute this way. For example, with a group of ten, each would only be responsible for $100. Groups of four could spend a little more, or $250 each.

We invite you to start now! Find your heroine, your impactful woman, and collect a group of family or friends to contribute to the total amount of $1,000.
