  • Catherine was passionate about the power of literacy. Upon joining The Monday Club she made a lasting impact. She became Vice President, started the Book Club and was involved in Raising a Reader.
  • Grandma Vi taught me the difference between right and wrong, to laugh and enjoy the beauty of our state California. She was a very important part of my childhood.
  • Donna Marie Layman Qualls 1926-2009
  • Marie is a role model to her daughters, granddaughters and all the women in her life. Her intellect, leadership and compassion are only a few of the attributes that make her an exceptional woman.
  • Roswitha has inspired me try things I may never have done without her as an extraordinary role model. She is one of the most generous and caring individuals I have known.
  • My mom has been an inspiration for her kindness to all, her avid support of the arts and theatre and her calling as a gifted builder. As a general contractor she built homes for 40 years into her 80s.
  • Loving wife, mother, teacher, and friend.

  • My mother-in-law was an inspiration & role model to me for over 40 years. Though widowed at 51, she never complained and always had a positive outlook on life, and was very supportive to her family.
