MEETING PROGRAM: How's the Weather?

Local meteorologist, John Lindsey, will join us for an interesting and informative presentation about coastal climate.

John Lindsey is a retired media relations representative and marine meteorologist for Pacific Gas and Electric Company at Diablo Canyon Power Plant. He worked for PG&E for 20 years.

He has forecasted weather and oceanographic conditions along the Central Coast of California for over 32 years. He writes a weekly column that appears in Sunday's edition of San Luis Obispo Tribune. Santa Maria Times, Lompoc Record, and Santa Ynez Valley News.

Before working with PG&E, he was a marine meteorologist and research scientist with Tenera Environmental. He served in the U.S. Navy for over 24 years. He attended Santa Rosa Junior College, in California and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. He completed the U.S. Naval Aviation Meteorology and Oceanography Program at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida.

He is currently on the Board of Directors of the PG&E Veterans Employee Resource Group, The Central Coast Aquarium, Point San Luis Lighthouse Keepers, and Los Osos Rotary. He was also named Los Osos citizen of the year.

He currently lives in Los Osos, California, and is married to Trisha. They have two children, Chloe 26, and Sean 20, both of whom serve in the Navy.

sauteed chorizo, peas & shallots in sherry vinegar, garlicky yogurt

Vegetarian Option: chickpea stuffed sweet potatoes (gf)
sauteed soyrizo, peas & shallots in sherry vinegar, garlicky yogurt

Salad: endive salad (gf)
endive, arugula, orange segments, shaved Manchego, almonds, manzanilla olives, olive oil

Dessert: pound cake trifle

seasonal fruit, vanilla custard, whipped cream
