Our very special Guest Speaker for our first meeting of the Club Year is author Victoria Kastner. 

Victoria Kastner is the Official Historian of Hearst Castle. She has written and lectured about San Simeon's land and buildings for nearly thirty years and is also the author of Hearst Ranch: Family, Land and Legacy, Hearst Castle: The Biography of a CountryHouse and Hearst's San Simeon: The Gardens and Land. She is deeply versed in the relationship
between William Randolph Hearst and his architect, Julia Morgan, as well as the relationship between William Randolph Hearst and his Ranch. 

Victoria holds master's degrees from the University of California at Santa Barbara in public history with specialty in architectural history and George Washington University in museum management. As a speaker, she shares her extensive knowledge about her life’s work, and engages her audiences with passion. We are looking forward to hearing her share her engaging insight and stories about Julia Morgan!


Luncheon cost is $17 and can be paid for in advance by clicking here: Brown Paper Tickets.  Please note that you MUST have a lunch reservation by September 1 for this event.  All those with a reservation may pay in advance using the above link or at the door.
