  GARDENING COMMITTEE

  We will meet on Friday, July 3, 9 AM - 11 AM.  No need to RSVP.  You do not need to stay for the entire two hours if you have other plans.  Just show up at your convenience during the 9 - 11 time.

  Bring your gloves, weeding tools, trimmers, a bucket - if possible.  We will do some weeding, a little trimming, landscape debris cleanup and trash pickup.

  Monday Club Living History Tours

  Walk-in tours (individuals and groups less than 10 persons)
  Registration is not necessary - everyone is welcome.

  When you enter the doors of the Julia Morgan designed Monday Club you will walk with docents who will take you back to the 1920's and 30's where the Depression was affecting every household, prohibition was in full swing, and women had just been given the right to vote. It was a time of social, forward-thinking women dedicated to civic duty to serve their community, to give a voice to the underserved and to strengthen the lives of those who had previously not found a place of community. 

  Here you will learn about the intersecting lives of early pioneer club members and their connection with Julia Morgan. Experience the Architecture of this very talented and overlooked woman that was awarded the first female architectural license in California as well as the first woman to receive the certificate of architecture from The Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France.  

  Tours run approximately one hour in length. Doors open to the public every 2nd and 3rd Mondays, from 1:00-4:00pm, unless otherwise scheduled. 

  R.S.V.P. is not needed for individuals and small groups.

  These tours are for groups smaller than 10. For larger groups, including school classes, clubs, organizations contact Docent Coordinators Brooke Meek or Liz Ruderman-Miller.

  Laura Albers, Executive Director, SLO Climate Coalition

  A California native - originally from Santa Barbara, and having grown up in Oakland - Laura has lived in San Luis Obispo since 2002. She earned a BA in Elementary Education from Pepperdine University, and a Master in Public Administration for Nonprofit Management from USC.

  Currently serving as the Executive Director for SLO Climate Coalition, Laura’s 30 years of professional experience has been rooted in nonprofit organizations serving educational, social justice, and environmental causes.

  Laura raised her two children in San Luis Obispo, loves trees, books, and art, and values integrity, kindness, and critical thought. Laura is also a huge music fan, and can spend hours on end building Legos.

  TMCC Member Online Luncheon Registration, Refund and Transfer Policy

  Thank you for your interest in attending our upcoming member luncheon. Because we must commit to final headcounts and pay our venue and catering partners in advance, we enforce the following policies for all lunch registrations. 1. Payment and Registration • Advance Registration Required • Payment Deadline: Registration and payment must be completed in full by 10 business days prior to the event date. • No At-the-Door Sales: To ensure accurate catering counts, we cannot accept walk-ins or payments at the door. 2. Cancellation and Refund Policy • Strictly Nonrefundable: All lunch ticket purchases are final and nonrefundable. • Attendance Notification Required: If you discover you are unable to attend, please reply to your registration confirmation email as soon as possible, letting the Registrar know that you are unable to attend. While your fee remains nonrefundable, this courtesy allows us to offer your seat to a member on our event waitlist. • No-Show Forfeiture: If you register but do not attend the meeting, your lunch fee is forfeited. Meals cannot be boxed up or saved for absent registrants.
